ETERNO is created and choreographed by the Internationally renown Carlos Rodriguez.  

A Dance show inspired by the work of PICASSO

The show is born with the idea of ​​capturing and expressing in the form of dance the vision of the eye of a universal artist named Pablo Picasso. 

On stage and in motion, we answer questions we ask ourselves about the genius of painting. How does he see and feel? How do you digest your reality and turn it into art? How do you catch the world with your hands “showing that art is the lie that tells the truth”?

PICASSO feels, sees and paints. He is an artist who loses himself in work to achieve something unique: an immense solitude, because without that solitude no serious art is possible.

ETERNO conveys that sensation to the public: it seeks and shows where the inspiration of a painter who has marked a before and after in art.
"As a person sometimes I can't find the right words to say what I feel, what I live. As a dancer and choreographer I do it by dancing and creating.", says the the creator of the show.

"In ETERNO I have immersed myself in the ugliness that beauty hides. For this, I count on very special artists, performers of different ages with a lot of scenery and a long way to go. The dancers and dancers from their masks reflect what Picasso projected in his works, for the painter the brush was his weapon and his shield. The feet and hands are ours to give life and shape to this choreography with the help of the music, light and costumes, transforming it into actions that provoke emotion: dancing, feeling, creating. Forgetting banal appearances, delving into the truth that makes dreams come true. I have broken the rules of the usual dance performances. Like Picasso, I believe that to create you have to destroy.", says Carlos Rodriguez, the creator.

The show has performed in all main theatres and festivals of Spain and now starts its international journey. Previous work of this same choreographer have been in London, China, NY, and all over Europe to great success.
