A bold reinvention of Bizet’s masterpiece
“Carmen: Pasión Lírica y Flamenco” brings together two of Spain’s most powerful artistic languages—opera and flamenco—into a captivating, contemporary reinterpretation of Bizet’s iconic story. Set in the vibrant streets of Seville, this production merges bel canto with the visceral energy of flamenco to create a new theatrical language where every gesture, voice, and movement tells a story of passion, freedom, and destiny.
A cast of 4 international opera soloists, 4 flamenco dancers, and 5 live musicians performs side by side in continuous dialogue, transforming emblematic pieces such as the Habanera and the Toreador through innovative arrangements featuring flamenco guitar, cajón, palmas, and contemporary textures.
The result is a transformative 120-minute experience that transcends genres, blending tradition with modernity and offering audiences a powerful, emotional, and distinctly Spanish reinterpretation of this timeless classic.
